BS Counter is a web hit counter/tracker written in PHP and Perl. This is a web hit counter/tracker written in PHP and Perl. Features include: blocking of multiple hits from the same user, insertion of commas, text-based or graphical modes, supports multiple counters from the same script, and tracks users' browsers, operating systems, locations, top 20 referrers, and top 20 search engine keywords. The Perl version requires SSI or GD.pm; the PHP version requires GD for the gd-count.php script only. Both the PHP version and the Perl version function identically and will share the same data files.

Windows 8 estimates: 500 million users in 2013

Microsoft expects to launch a new wave of optimism with Windows 8. In a recent statement, Steve Ballmer, chief executive at Microsoft, estimates that Windows 8 will reach a total of about 500 million users by the end of 2013.
